Third lockdown hits PINS’ decision timescales and appeals output

The number of appeal decisions issued by the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) fell by 16 per cent between December and January from 1,697 to 1,421, while average decision-making timescales for inquiries and hearings both rose sharply, new figures show.
