Jenrick proposes to take control of planning in Liverpool following ‘bullying’ findings

After a government-commissioned report detailed “bullying”, “intimidation” and widespread failings at Liverpool City Council, communities secretary Robert Jenrick has proposed intervention measures that would lead to the authority’s planning functions being run by government-appointed commissioners.
