Inspector refuses plans for 300 homes on green belt site despite council’s land supply shortfall

A planning inspector has dismissed an appeal for 300 homes in Sheffield despite finding that the local authority cannot demonstrate a five-year housing land supply, after agreeing with the council that the proposal would cause “substantial harm” to the openness of the green belt.
