Inspector allows 167 green belt homes over council’s ‘critically inadequate’ housing land supply

A planning inspector has allowed an appeal for 167 homes on a green belt site in Hertfordshire and awarded costs to the developer, after concluding that the “quite extreme” circumstances of the case, including the council’s “critically inadequate” housing land supply, justified the consent.
